Masters in Exploration Geophysics

The Programme will be taught in conjunction with Heriot-Watt University, and will benefit from its close links with the Earth Resources industrial sector through the United Kingdom's largest research and training centre in Exploration Geophysics, Edinburgh Seismic Research, and strong links to one of Europe's largest centres of expertise in carbon storage, the Scottish Centre for Carbon Storage. The course is taught by an unparalleled team of the United Kingdom's top specialists in exploration science, drawing on their substantial industrial and academic experience.

The Masters programme is a one-year, full-time multidisciplinary programme covering the fundamentals in Earth Resources (Exploration Geophysics) and their applications to the full spectrum of hydrocarbon and mineral exploration. The programme is designed for science (Mathematics, Physics, or GeoSciences) and Engineering graduates wanting an advanced academic qualification as a launch pad for careers in the Resources industry (oil, gas, minerals, water, subsurface waste and CO2 storage), as well as for those already working in the industry who wish to enhance their technical skills and qualifications.
